Arsenal in particular have contacted Victor Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda, reports Italian Rai.
Osimhen is preparing to enter into a “gentleman’s agreement” with SSC Napoli to ensure the two sides will part ways peacefully in the next transfer window.
We are only waiting to agree on the final release fee, which could be around 130 million euros or more depending on certain conditions.
Arsenal is interested in recruiting 17-year-old young midfielder Jorrel Hato from Ajax.
Hato is one of the wonderkids described as “the future of Dutch football”. Even though he was only 17 years old and had not been promoted to the first team for long, Hato was given the captain’s armband and became the youngest captain in Ajax history in the European arena at the age of 17 years and 282 days.
Similar to his senior Jurrien Timber, Hato has a knack for playing center back but can also play as a left back.
In early December, Dutch newspaper Voetbal reported that Arsenal was close to Hato, but at that time there was no reputable account related to Arsenal to confirm (there is now).
Hato once said on Voetbal: “It’s unfortunate for Timber that he suffered a serious injury in the first part of the season. But Timber is still young, and has a whole future ahead of him.
The move to Arsenal was amazing, I wish I could make a transfer like that one day. I know I still have a long way to go.”
Hato is currently valued at 10 million euros by Transfermarkt and his professional contract with Ajax is only valid until 2025.
“Arsenal is pushing to recruit Ivan Toney from Brentford FC on loan in January, let’s wait and see what happens”, from @TikiTakaConnor’s source.
Fabrizio Romano on CaughtOffside reports that Arsenal are monitoring 22-year-old full-back Jeremie Frimpong of Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
The player has a release clause and is likely to leave in June 2024
