Since Morant is a sleeper pick, people want to know more about his personal life. Morant might be the first college basketball player in this century to be drafted in the top five by an NBA team that hasn’t had more than 100 NCAA tournament appearances, according to FiveThirtyEight.
Morant was overlooked in high school, as shown by his college. The Post and Courier reported that Morant only received scholarships from South Carolina State and Maryland Eastern Shore. His offer came from Murray State when a coach “stumbled upon him.”

Dixon started March Madness with just under 12,000 followers. Morant’s big wins have helped Dixon reach 15,000 points halfway through the season.Morant’s following has expanded too. He had 300,000 followers at the start of March Madness and over 400,000 by Saturday’s Murray State-FSU game.
