Arriving for 6 months, Real Madrid’s rookie can leave as soon as January

Real Madrid’s rookie Arda Guler is said to be completely eligible for loan during the winter transfer window in January this year.

Real Madrid youngster Arda Guler is said to be able to leave Santiago Bernabeu on loan during the ongoing winter transfer window.

Earlier this summer, Los Blancos were in a transfer battle with rival Barcelona to win the Turkish midfielder’s signature. The White Vultures defeated their great rival to sign the 2004-born star in a contract worth up to 30 million Euros from Fenerbahce last July.

However, Guler suffered an injury during Real Madrid’s pre-season tour to the United States. The 18-year-old has a knee problem, ruling him out of selection until the end of 2023.

Arda Guler could be loaned out in January this year.

After recovering from a long-term injury, Guler returned to the team’s plans earlier this month. The winger was named as a substitute in La Liga’s 1-0 win over RCD Mallorca on 3 January. Guler then made his first team debut in a 3-1 win in round three. Copa del Rey against Arandina on January 6.

However, the former Fenerbahce star only appeared on the field for 8 minutes in Los Blancos’ last 4 matches in all competitions. Therefore, AS SPORT recently announced that the versatile midfielder could leave on loan for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.

Guler, whose contract with Real Madrid is set to expire in June 2029, could choose to leave on loan this month. Even if given the choice to stay, the young Turkish talent can only accept continuing to sit on the bench as only the following options of Bellingham and Brahim Diaz. However, in case he does not leave, coach Ancelotti will likely still give Guler a chance depending on the nature of the match.
