Arsenal delivers a verdict on the star from Leipzig

Arsenal continues to monitor Paris Saint-Germain’s Xavi Simons, who is currently on loan and playing excellently with RB Leipzig.

This talented young player is still on the radar of the English club. Recent reports indicate that the Gunners have sent scouts to watch Simons and a number of other players playing in the Bundesliga.

HITC reported that Arsenal still welcomes the idea of bringing the Dutch international to the Premier League, maintaining its stance on the attacking midfielder.

PSG is said to have expressed satisfaction with Simons’ impressive form while playing on loan. In 27 appearances this season, he has scored 7 goals and 9 assists for Leipzig.

However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has dismissed rumors that the Gunners are in the running for the 20-year-old. However, the Italian journalist says there was interest last year, but nothing new from the Premier League side.

“Arsenal were monitoring Xavi Simons last summer but there is absolutely nothing new now,” Romano wrote on CaughtOffside. “PSG are happy with his loan at Leipzig and the decision will take place in the summer – nothing has been decided in January on Xavi Simons.”
