Last night’s away match against Aston Villa was an important match for Manchester United, with Unai Emery’s side leading by eight points going into the match.

A win for Villa would extend that gap to 11 points. Instead, Manchester United’s away win cut the gap to five. Rasmus Hojlund and Scott McTominay scored the goals for Manchester United after assists from Harry Maguire and Diogo Dalot.
