For £85.6 million, Arsenal secures an English national team forward

Londonworld site revealed that Arsenal is preparing to make an offer for striker Ollie Watkins next summer.

Folarin Balogun left Emirates Stadium for Monaco last summer, leaving Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah as the two remaining strikers in Arsenal’s squad. However, the Brazilian star is constantly injured and his performance is unstable, while Nketiah is also not very impressive.

Coach Mikel Arteta has recently let Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard play the false number 9, but this is probably not a long-term solution for the Gunners. Londonworld site revealed that Arsenal is preparing to make an offer for striker Ollie Watkins next summer.

The Aston Villa striker has scored 13 goals and made 10 assists in 25 Premier League matches this season. The British striker’s brilliant form has put him in the sights of many big names, including Arsenal.

Fichajes’ report suggests the Gunners may need to spend around £85.6 million on the deal. This figure is nearly £60 million higher than when Aston Villa paid Brentford for Watkins in 2020.
