LeBron James helped the Los Angeles Lakers overcome a 21-point deficit to win 116–112 by scoring more points than the Los Angeles Clippers combined in the fourth quarter.
Mason Plumlee’s layup in the opening minute of the fourth quarter gave the Clips a 98-77 lead. However, LeBron took it from there, adding yet another highlight to his illustrious 21-year NBA career.
In the fourth quarter, James scored 19 points against the Clippers’ 16. Thirty of the Lakers’ forty-nine points in the fourth quarter came from direct moves; he also assisted on eleven more baskets.
The biggest dime came when James found Rui Hachimura with the game tied at 106, giving the Lakers the lead for good.
The Lakers subsequently had leads of 111-106 and 114-108 a short while later, but the club had a chance to tie or win the game thanks to a pair of baskets from Kawhi Leonard and several stops from the Clippers.
James then entered the game and made Leonard attempt a difficult, wildly inaccurate baseline jumper. After LeBron picked up the ball, he gave it to Cam Reddish for a basket that put the game on a high note.
