Bad news: Gabriel Martinelli absent from team’s final session ahead of match with Brentford

According to Metro, Gabriel Martinelli is likely to be absent when Arsenal faces Brentford.

The 22-year-old scored in Arsenal’s 6-0 win over Sheffield United but had to leave the field in the 64th minute due to injury.

Mikel Arteta revealed after the match that the Brazil international suffered a cut on his foot and the injury will be monitored this week.

However, Martinelli will be able to rest when Arsenal welcomes Brentford to Emirates Stadium tonight (March 9, Vietnam time).

Specifically, the Brazilian striker was not seen gathering with the team before this match.

Bukayo Saka, who was substituted at half-time against Sheffield United due to illness, was seen with his teammates. In addition, Oleksandr Zinchenko also appeared. He has missed the Gunners’ last 5 matches.

Arsenal will climb to the top of the Premier League table if they defeat Brentford, as Liverpool welcomes Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday.

The Gunners are flying high and Brentford will certainly have to face many difficulties if they want to get points at Emirates Stadium.
