Arsenal player ratings vs Porto: Jakub Kiwior Shines, Saliba Faces Challenges, and Raya Emerges as the Hero Against Porto

After a long wait, the Gunners finally entered their name into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

David Raya (10/10). The Spanish goalkeeper played solidly for 120 minutes. And in the penalty shootout, he played the role of hero with 2 accurate saves.

Ben White (6/10). As usual, White completed the task quite well but did not leave any outstanding highlights.

William Saliba (October 5). Stepping out to Europe seems to have put Saliba under psychological pressure. He did not show his usual certainty.

Gabriel Magalhaes (7/10). Gabriel made a number of important interventions to prevent the opponent’s attempts to develop the ball. Besides, he also holds the ball with confidence.

Kiwior Jakub (6/10). Like his teammate on the opposite wing, the Polish player completed his assigned task.

Declan Rice (6/10). Rice was pushed to play in the number 8 role. However, with Porto’s deep-lying formation, he did not show much.

Jorginho (7/10). The Italian veteran is the factor that helps Arsenal’s ball circulation process become smooth.

Martin Odegaard (8/10). The Norwegian conductor opened the opportunity for Leandro Trossard to score. He also showed his bravery when taking the first penalty with a cool shot that beat goalkeeper Diogo Costa.

Kai Havertz (5/10). Kai fouled Pepe, leading to Martin Odegaard’s goal being later disallowed.

Leandro Trossard (7/10). The Belgian player shined with a goal that helped Arsenal equalize the score (including both matches). He also participated quite actively in the ball attacks throughout his participation.

Bukayo Saka (5/10). Being marked too tightly prevented Saka from being able to handle the ball comfortably as usual.

Gabriel Jesus (October 6). The former Man City star almost could have scored as soon as he entered the field, but Diogo Costa’s excellence prevented that.
