Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 128-124 in double overtime. Taking into account the entire context of the win—aside from the drama that overtime inevitably brings—it might have been their biggest triumph of the year.
LeBron James was out for the Lakers due to ankle pain. They were traveling in opposition to the perilous Bucks. They started the first quarter behind by as many as 19 points, coming out cold. With roughly eight minutes left, the Bucks had answered every run they had made in the first three quarters, leaving them down 19 points.
However, the Lakers would not give up, going on a stunning 27-9 rally that unexpectedly forced OT.
