LeBron James led Los Angeles (43-33) to back-to-back victories with 23 points and nine assists. With 21 points and 12 rebounds, Anthony Davis recorded a double-double.

Toronto (23-52) dropped their 14th straight game as RJ Barrett of Mississauga, Ontario, led all scorers with 28 points, six assists, and six rebounds. Immanuel Quickley finished with six assists and 20 points.

After sitting out multiple games to grieve the loss of loved ones, both players made a comeback to the Raptors starting lineup.

After his uncle Shawn Hamilton passed away from cancer on March 20, Quickley took a leave of absence and missed six games. Barrett missed nine games after the death of his 19-year-old brother Nathan Barrett on March 14.

During the 1997–98 season, the Raptors had their longest losing run in franchise history—17 games in a row.

In the fourth quarter, Bruce Brown (right knee soreness) left the game and did not come back. His injury was simply the most recent in Toronto’s string of medical mishaps.
