In September 2022, he initially reduced the price of the six-story residence after allegedly losing £1.5 million in rent.

Because of a tenant’s nonpayment of rent, Sol was cоmpelled to appear in court to obtain an eviction notice.

It is believed that he acquired the property in 2004, and following that, his interior design-focused wife Fiona Barrett undertook a substantial redesign of the residence.

However, after three years of being listed for sale, Sol has now reduced the asking price of the mansion to £15 million.

The magnificent estate comprises a main house featuring six bedrooms, in addition to a mews house with two bedrooms that is reached through a subterranean passageway.

In addition to breathtaking vistas of the River Thames and Albert Bridge, it features an exquisite drawing room, cinema, library, kitchen, and lift.

The property description, which is advertised for sale with Knight Frank, further states: “A townhouse of Grade II listing, boasting a river view, that has undergone a comprehensive renovation and exceptional interior design, resulting in a refined and sizable residence in London.

“With secure gated access from the front, a walled garden and further protection provided by the mews house at the rear, this is a private and secure house that offers discretion and a sense of tranquillity throughout.”

According to The Mirror, the townhouse is situated on the prestigious Cheyne Walk, where individuals such as Mick Jagger, Keith Richard, and George Best once resided.

However, the former residence has been associated with a troubled past for the footballer, who also captained Portsmouth to FA Cup achievement in 2008 and played for Tottenham Hotspur.

Two years ago, Sol was in a rage over a rent dispute that had arisen with a tenant.

Unable to obtain additional payments, he asserted that a businessman who had recently sold his insurance company for £1 billiоn had provided him with a deposit and three months’ rent.

Sol, following his retirement from professional football, has held managerial positions at Macclesfield and Southend.

But he also owns a furniture company with his wife Fiona and an enormous property empire worth £50 million.

It is reported that he also possesses a luxury penthouse apartment in West London and the nine-bedroom Grade II-listed Hallington Hall in Northumberland, in addition to the Chelsea townhouse.

For comment, representatives of the former football player have been contacted.
