Company in “Homecoming,” a new project with VERSUS that asks a professional player to get back to the game that made them famous in the first place.Eddie has a history of being one of the best young basketball players of his time. This Young Gunner is ready to light up the game as the record scorer for England U21 and the current holder of Arsenal’s famous No. 14 shirt.

As adults, all of these elite players have made their childhood dreams come true. They all started out playing football at the local level and were encouraged by their community, coaches, and teammates to be the best they could be.

Eddie’s early years were spent at Hillyfielders FC in Honor Oak Park in Lewisham. The club played its games on the same field where Ian Wright made his debut as a football player. Even though he is now scoring goals at the top level of the game, Nketiah stays in touch with the club and sends support messages to the players at the start of every season.

Aniefiok “Neef” Ekpoudom, a famous author and storyteller, also started playing football with Hillyfielders FC. Eddie and Neef sat down for “Homecoming,” a talk about how grassroots football helped them grow as people, not just as players.

There is no doubt that C.P. Company has a history in sports. Pro athletes need to learn about their past again.
