Arsenal have reportedly made an offer for Wolves goalkeeper Dan Bentley

Arsenal is said to have made an offer for Wolves goalie Dan Bentley.

Mail Sport said earlier this month that the Gunners want to sign the 31-year-old player who came up through their school.

Mikel Arteta wants to add to his team of goalkeepers after already getting David Raya on a permanent basis from Brentford.

A report in The Sun says that Arsenal has made an offer of £300,000 for Bentley and hopes to close the deal.

Wolves, on the other hand, want £1m instead, but the two teams are getting close to a deal.

The 31-year-old has played just nine matches for Wolves since joining the club in 2023

Since signing with Wolves in 2023, the 31-year-old has only played in nine games.

Wolves’ second pick last season was Jose Sa, so Wolves only got to play in three Premier League games.

He has played seven times for Wolves in all competitions and made three clean sheets. In December 2023, he played 67 minutes against Arsenal.

Bentley started out at Arsenal but left when he was 15 to play for Southend United in 2008.

Since then, the goalie has played for Brentford and Bristol City. He joined Wolves 18 months ago.

With Raya and Aaron Ramsdale ahead of him in the lineup, Bentley would bring a lot of experience to Arsenal but probably won’t get to play much.

At the same time, Arsenal paid just under £1m to sign Tommy Setford, an 18-year-old goalie from Ajax.
