The legend’s five-bedroom, 7,000-square-foot home in Wilmslow, Cheshire, features a modern open-plan kitchen and games room.

The former Manchester United manager most certainly let off steam in his lovely gaming room, which was furnished with artwork, wood bookcases, and a snooker table.

The staircase is also embellished with a distinctive ‘Ferguson clan’ tartan carpet.

Estate agents describe this detached home as “impressive, deceptively spacious” and located in a private, gated, and secure site.

“It boasts approximately 7,000 sq ft.”

According to the Mirror, Sir Alex chose to sell the property after his wife died.

Lady Cathy Ferguson died in October at the age of 84. She is survived by her husband, three sons, two sisters, 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Sir Alex will sell the property after the death of his wife, Cathy.

He was among those who attended Sir Bobby Charlton’s funeral earlier this month. Sir Alex described his wife, whom he first met in 1964, as a “bedrock” in his life.

There was some controversy around Fergie’s stay at the posh gaff.

In 2020, Sir Alex lost a planning fight after the neighbouring property objected to the application to destroy a two-story house and build a three-story mansion.
