The latest transfer news from Arsenal is that they are ‘stepping up’ their chase of Gyokeres, the deal for Mikel Merino is ‘close and a new ‘Nketiah bid has been received’

Arsenal is apparently becoming more interested in Viktor Gyokeres, the star player for Sporting Lisbon.

Also, reports say that the Gunners are almost done with a huge deal to bring Euro 2024 winner Mikkel Merino to the Emirates.

Also, sources say that Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has sent a new offer to Marseille.

Saka is shown working with Arteta.

More and more people think that Bukayo Saka will start Arsenal’s first game of the season against Wolves.

Some people thought he might have been resting because he had just helped England get to the final of the Euros and earned a break.

But it looks like the player is healthy and ready to go.

Merino ‘asks not to be priced out of move’

Mikel Merino has asked Real Sociedad not to price him out of a move according to HITC.

Arsenal want to pay £25million for the 28-year-old but Sociedad are holding out for more.

Nelson contacted by Steve McLaren

HITC says Steve McLaren has asked Reiss Nelson to play for the Jamaica national team.

Even though the midfielder has played for England as a youth, the idea of playing for the adult team could be appealing.

This summer, Nelson has been linked with a number of moves away from Arsenal.

Arsenal were not in talks for Zubimendi

It was Fabrizio Romano who said that Arsenal was never really interested in Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi.

There are talks going on right now for the player to join Liverpool.

He said, “Many clubs have tried to convince Martin Zubimendi to move in the last couple of years. Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, and many others all talked to the player, but he wasn’t interested in the move.”

“It needs to be made clear that Arsenal NEVER talked about signing Zubimendi this summer.”

Merino ‘will be done next week’

News sources say that Mikel Merino will join Arsenal next week, before the new season starts.

It is known that Arsenal is interested in the player, and Arteta is said to have talked to Merino this month to try to get him to join.

To bring Merino in, the club may need to find a way to get Thomas Partey out of town by the end of the window.
