The Wolves defender appeared to place his hand on the Arsenal star’s throat

Wolves defender Yerson Mosquera got into a fight with Kai Havertz and didn’t get sent off, which made Arsenal fans very angry.

The fight happened early in the second half, when the two players’ arms were tangled up.

While trying to stop the Colombian from playing on, Havertz put his left arm around Mosquera. However, the Wolves defender got angry and pushed Havertz to the ground.

Mosquera then put his right hand on Havertz’s neck in a rough way.

Mosquera put his hand up as if to say sorry when he realized what he had done and then slowly fell to the ground as well.

The Wolves man then appeared to put his hand on Havertz's throat but avoided a booking

The Wolves player then seemed to put his hand on Havertz’s throat, but he didn’t get a ticket.

Luckily for Mosquera and Wolves, he got away without getting a card for what happened.

That wasn’t the case for Arsenal fans on social media, where many were confused about how the Wolves player was allowed to stay on the field.

Someone named @afcadil wrote on X, “Absolute disgrace refereeing.” It’s not funny that he can’t be sent off or even given a card for this. Take care of it, @FA_PGMOL!

Another fan brought up the controversial red card that Fabian Schar got in the Newcastle vs. Southampton game for hitting Ben Brereton Diaz in the head, which made him fall to the ground.

It was added by @absol01 that “PGMOL is so useless, only day one.” Putting your heads together gets you a red card, but grabbing someone by the throat doesn’t.

“Straight red, but the rules don’t apply to Arsenal!” wrote @gunner_mtl.

@SantiPodolski said, “This is terrible refereeing and a strange VAR decision.”

The event with Havertz wasn’t the only time Mosquera made headlines. He also seemed to grab Gabriel Jesus by the buttocks.

After all was said and done, Havertz got the last laugh over Mosquera as Arsenal won 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

In the 25th minute, Havertz scored the first goal for Arsenal by heading a ball past Jose Sa. This gave the home team a well-deserved lead.

Havertz set up Bukayo Saka for a goal in the 74th minute, which doubled Arsenal’s lead.
