He scored two goals in Germany, including one against England in the final.

His outstanding form drew interest from some of Europe’s major clubs.

Barcelona, Chelsea, and Liverpool are all interested in Athletic Bilbao’s star player.

However, according to The Independent, Arsenal could strike first.

Arsenal is focusing on Williams as their top transfer target in the last week of the market.

The winger’s current contract includes a £48 million release clause, which is a relative bargain in today’s transfer market.

However, at this point, he is hesitant to leave Athletic Bilbao.

Williams was granted the No. 10 shirt by the club last week and is said to want to play for Barcelona in the future.

Arsenal may change their plan if they are unable to sign the Spaniard by next Friday’s deadline.

Mikel Arteta may opt for a player that is not guaranteed to start, similar to Leandro Trossard.

Arsenal signed the Belgian international with £27 million from Brighton in January, after missing out on Mykhailo Mudryk.

Trossard has since contributed 18 goals and 12 assists in 69 games.

Ademola Lookman, who has been linked with a move to the Emirates, could be a suitable candidate.

Arsenal had already signed Riccardo Calafiori this summer.

Last month, the Italian joined the club for £42 million from Bologna.

The club is set to sign Mikel Merino from Real Sociedad for £33 million.
