After Mikel Merino’s arrival, ARSENAL may make a last-minute signing of a striker.
Merino joined the Gunners in a £32 million deal from Real Sociedad during the last week of the transfer window, demonstrating their activity.

With Fabio Vieira leaving on loan to Porto, there will also be outgoings.
Eddie Nketiah is close to signing a £30 million contract with Crystal Palace, and his departure would deplete Mikel Arteta’s offensive options.
With Gabriel Jesus sidelined by injury, he has chosen to start Kai Havertz as a false nine in Arsenal’s first two Premier League games.
However, the title contenders might bolster their offensive line thanks to links to multiple strikers, three of whom are now Premier League players.
Before the transfer market ends on Friday, Arsenal has their sights set on these five players.
Darwin Nunez
Nunez’s future at Anfield is in jeopardy as new Liverpool boss Arne Slot started without the Uruguayan against Ipswich and Brentford.
The ambiguity surrounding the striker, who would supposedly cost about £3 million, has been predicted to be exploited by Arsenal.
Since joining the Reds two years ago, the 25-year-old has scored 33 goals in 94 games, but he may be free to depart as Liverpool attempts to finalize a transfer for Federico Chiesa, a star for Juventus.

Victor Osimhen
For a number of months, there has been a great deal of conjecture about the Napoli hitman, who made hints earlier this year about moving to the Prem.
Chelsea has apparently made several attempts to acquire Osimhen, who is supposedly the target of a £55 million deal from Al-Ahli, a Saudi Arabian team.
Osimhen, 25, is likewise a target for Manchester United. He has six goals in 133 outings for Napoli.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Everton may try to take advantage of Calvert-Lewin, who is about to reach the last year of his contract.
Chelsea and Newcastle are apparently interested in him, but Arsenal prefers him as a less expensive option than their other targets.
The two-year-old Calvert-Lewin would heighten the Gunners’ offensive, but Arteta might be concerned about his injury history given that he did make 32 league appearances and score seven goals the previous season.

Alexander Isak
Isak has been Arsenal’s long-term target. Prior to joining Newcastle, it was anticipated that Isak would transfer to the Emirates in January 2022.
When Chelsea came knocking in January, the Magpies instructed them to cough up £115 million in order to recruit Isak, 24, for £63 million.
Isak has also downplayed rumors that he would leave Newcastle, which could force Arsenal to look elsewhere for a target.

Viktor Gyokeres
Gyokeres has also been a target for Arsenal for a number of months; when he scored 49 goals in 54 games during his Sporting Lisbon debut season, the Gunners were expected to make a bid.
The striker himself acknowledged he “does not know what will happen,” but he would still want a hefty transfer price if permitted to depart.
Gyokeres, 26, is said to have an £85 million release clause, which the Gunners will probably have to pay in order to complete the transaction.
