Mikel Arteta answers to Pep Guardiola as Manchester City manager ‘declares war’ on Arsenal

Mikel Arteta has responded to Pep Guardiola following the Manchester City manager’s heated press conference about Arsenal.

The two teams tied 2-2 at the Etihad Stadium last Sunday, with several controversial moments.

Arsenal’s tactics were scrutinized, with some criticizing their approach after being down to ten players following Leandro Trossard’s red card.

After the match, City midfielder Bernardo Silva stated that only one team had come to the Etihad Stadium to play football, despite City’s 2-1 loss to Arsenal at halftime.

During his pre-Leicester press conference on Friday, Arteta declined to respond to the comments. I’ve been there before.

“I was there for four years and have all the facts. So I understand. Believe me.

Guardiola criticized Mikel’s statement in a press conference before City’s 1-1 draw with Newcastle, stating, “Next time, Mikel has to be clear exactly what he means. He’s been here four years and knows exactly what happens here.”

“It could be tied to all the current processes and charges. Perhaps it is about that knowledge.

I have a terrific relationship with him.” Hopefully, he understands what he means when he says he’s here and knows what occurs.”

Following Arsenal’s 4-2 victory over Leicester at the Emirates Stadium, Arteta was given another opportunity to respond.

He stated that he is well-versed in Man City’s work ethic. Here’s what I mean.

“I can’t say it enough: I adore Pep, admire him, and hold him in high regard for what he does for me. “I consider him a friend.”
