‘UNFORTUNATE’

“I have to be careful not to push it too hard, but at the same time do what I can to make sure I come back as forcefully and rapidly as possible.

“If I cannot be on the field, I am trying to assist the squad in another manner now. That is my circumstances, thus I have to maximize it.

“I am not accustomed to this. If that’s the word, I have been fairly lucky; otherwise, I have done well to avoid past injuries; but, this is football and I have to go with it.

“Although it could have been worse, I felt it was regrettable to sustain the injuries in the manner I did.

“It was not a good twist, and I thought it would be really significant when it happened.

“I’ve hurt my ankle before; the agony felt a little different this time.”

Arsenal will resume play following the international break with a visit to Bournemouth.
