The Gunners scored again from a corner kick in their 1-1 draw with Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday, with Saliba getting on the scoresheet with a close-range header from Kai Havertz following Declan Rice’s left-wing corner into the box.
The goal helped Arsenal set three separate milestones. Saliba’s strike was the Gunners’ 20th goal from set pieces in the Premier League this season, excluding penalties. This is their highest tally in a calendar year since 2009.
Mikel Arteta’s side still have three more Premier League games to play in 2024 to surpass this achievement.

Arsenal also became the first team in Europe’s top five leagues to create 10 or more big chances from set-pieces in the league this season.
Saliba’s strike was also Arsenal’s 23rd goal from a corner since the start of the 2023/24 season, eight more than any other team in the Premier League.
However, the Gunners failed to take all three points from their London rivals, sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw . This was enough to close the gap to Liverpool to six points, but they had played one game more.
