Despite being Manchester City’s closest challengers last season, Arsenal have struggled to capitalize on City’s dip in form this term. Instead, they find themselves trailing both Liverpool and Chelsea, prompting Arteta to take action as he marks his fifth anniversary in charge of the club.

While Arteta has assembled a strong squad at the Emirates, one area in need of improvement is the left side of the attack. Current options Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, and Raheem Sterling have combined for just six goals and four assists in the league so far this season.

To address this, reports from Spain suggest Arsenal have agreed to a £50 million deal for Las Palmas winger Alberto Moleiro.

The 21-year-old Spanish U21 international has been with Las Palmas for his entire career and has impressed in La Liga this season, netting four goals in 15 starts. Capable of playing both as a winger and a central No. 10, Moleiro is known for his quick feet, creativity, and powerful shooting ability.

Although he has yet to register an assist this season, Moleiro’s ability to link up play and create chances in the final third has attracted interest across Europe. Last season, he managed three goals and three assists in 28 league appearances.

According to Fichajes, Arsenal have opted to activate Moleiro’s €60 million release clause, with the deal expected to be finalized soon.

“The official announcement could come in the coming months,” the report states, “but everything indicates that Alberto Moleiro’s talent will shine at the Emirates Stadium, marking the start of a new stage in his career.
