Arsenal target Benjamin Sesko will NOT leave RB Leipzig this month, claims German side’s boss Marco Rose
RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose says his side are determined to hold on to Arsenal target Benjamin Sesko this window.
The Gunners are in the market for an attacker and Sesko has been considered, but it has been suggested that a summer move may be more appropriate if an approach is made.
When asked ahead of Leipzig’s Champions League clash with Sporting Lisbon – in which Sesko scored the opening goal of his side’s 2-1 win – if the forward was unavailable for transfer, Rose replied: ‘Yes, that’s still the case.’
Sesko, 21, has netted 14 times in 26 games this season for the German side, including four times in seven matches in the Champions League. He has become one of Europe’s highest-rated forwards.
Mikel Arteta has confirmed Arsenal are looking for solutions in this window and they have been exploring several options such as Sesko and Wolves’ Matheus Cunha
If their solution is indeed Sesko, it appears unlikely that a move will happen this month on the back of Rose’s verdict.
