Arsenal ‘set to sign 15-year-old Scottish wonderkid as club agrees six-figure deal with St Johnstone’

Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement to sign a 15-year-old Scottish defender. St Johnstone starlet Callan Hamill is regarded as one of the most exciting talents in the country and has attracted interest from both Rangers and Celtic.

However, the Gunners have won the race to acquire his talents, according to The Athletic. The report adds that Hamill has trained with the Arsenal youth teams on multiple occasion over the last year.

And the club have now put together a deal to bring him north London permanently.

Arsenal and St Johnstone are believed to have agreed a six-figure fee which will including further potential add-ons. The teenager is not be eligible to move to England until he turns 16, which will happen on March 1.

It has therefore been decided that he will officially join Arsenal on July 1.  Hamill is capable of playing at both right-back and centre-back and is a Scotland U17 international.

He was also part of the Arsenal U17 squad that won the Flamengo Adidas Cup in Brazil in December. Hamill will initially join Arsenal on a scholarship contract before signing professional terms when he turns 17 in March 2026.
